Paul Dorr: 48    Paul W. Dorr, Has been sailing and traveling most of his adult life. After a tour of duty in the Coast Guard he followed a family tradition and found a job on one of the schooners of the Maine windjammer fleet. He spent ten summers as deckhand and Mate, sailing the beautiful waters if Penobscot bay and the surrounding bays and winters were spent traveling with journeys to Mexico, Central America and a South America. After returning from a four and a half month backpacking trip in Patagonia he returned to Maine and the windjammers but took the position as cook and has been working in the galley for the past fourteen seasons. His first bicycle trip was in the winter of 96, from New Mexico to Florida and though it was a total disaster, due in part to a lack of planning a no understanding of what a trip like that entails, he was hooked on long distance bicycle trips. With over seven thousand miles logged in the past four years he is still very much excited about any new trip.
